We are delighted to announce the release of our 2013 Rosé. A blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this elegant Rosé has spent a minumum of 17 months on the lees and displays raspberry, stone fruit and summer berry aromas with hints of red cherry and wild strawberry on the palate with a dry, delicate finish.
The 2013 growing season started slowly due to a cold winter and spring, which delayed budburst and pushed all stages of growth back a couple of weeks. However, this slow start was followed by a generally warm and dry summer which led to good acidity in the grapes. The Pinot base wines were full of wild strawberry and raspberry flavours - characteristics that continue into the glass and are trademarks of our Hindleap Rosé sparkling wines.
